The Hoosier Rottweiler Club is pleased to announce that a rescued Rottweiler, Mel, fostered by club president, Mary Statzer, has been accepted for training into the Indiana Search and Recovery Unit.

We’re really excited for Mel and his new owner.  Mel has also passed his Canine Good Citizen Test as well as the ATTS test!  Go Mel!

Hi! Thanks for featuring Mel on your terrific new website!!! Iwanted to clarify just a couple of things! Mel is in training with Indiana Search and Recovery. He went for his first official session last weekend and did great! We are so proud of him! He is the sweetest and best natured dog we have ever owned. Mel has also enjoyed Trick or Treating with the neighborhhod kids and has participated in the Read to the Paw program. How far can this dog go??? Hang on to your hats, we’ve just begun!
Thanks to all! Mel’s Mom, Ann
